How can you stay motivated and succeed in life?
What is life's biggest motivation?
For some people, it's ambition, money, and satisfaction. Today, we will find the real motivation in our life.
SATISFACTION:
Now how can you be satisfied in life?
When we achieve something that we want to do in our life, then we will get satisfied.
How much do you want to do in your life?
Immensely things and motives are there.
Why don't you do what you want to do?
Because we are in our comfort zone, and we cannot come out from our comfort zone.
This condition is the same which we all are in, If somebody locked us in a room alone, and gave us all those things which are necessary to be alive like food and water, and then told us to get satisfaction, would we get satisfaction? No.
Theoretically, we all can understand what is satisfaction, but practically how many people are there in the world who can genuinely say that we have done what we wanted to do in our life; Very few because goals and aims change with time.
At a particular age, we think that this goal is everything, but when we achieve it what happens?
There are two possibilities here :
- We will set a new goal in our life.
- The importance of those goals which we have achieved in our life will vanish.
Will we never be able to get satisfied in our life?.
Until we want something, it is important to us, yet when we get it, It becomes part of our routine; it will become boring for us, then we need something else to get satisfied. In this way, we will never be able to get satisfaction in life. Thus it means that we have to leave our comfort zone, again and again, to get satisfied. It is the same as a video game.
When we achieve our goals and get what we wanted at first we enjoy it. The second time we enjoy it but not as much as we enjoyed the first time, the third time it will not be enjoyable as compared to the second, and the time comes when there will be no excitement remains at that level. What if we are forced to play this game on the same level for our whole life; what will happen?.
It will become boring. In this case, we have to change the game, or we have to go to the next level, If I relate this with life, we have something else to do or get a promotion on the next level of what we are doing.
The problem is whenever we achieve a level, we get stuck in that because we feared to lose it; even life becomes boring(Is it relatable, tell me in comment). We never leave that level, and we give excuses to ourselves, and we stay in that level forever and pass our whole life like this.
DESIRE AND FEAR:
What are the small motivations?
Desire and fears.
99.9% of people's lives are led by desire and fear. It is not only for humans, but it is also a motivation for animals. There are two ways to make an animal do anything for you
1. Desire, there is a dog, and we show it a meal, and it will start jumping and playing for the meal. Here we made the dog motivated to jump and play.
2. Fear, similarly, if we show a stick and tell it to sit, it will sit, even though it does not want to.
Desire and Fear, aren't they how we act in our lives?
This is our comfort zone; what else is it? Whatever our so-called desires are if someone fulfilled our desires and instead of it bound us in a box, we would easily be tied up in it.
After that, this question will not arise. What action are we taking to fulfill that desire? Are you interested in taking that action or not? Likewise, this question never arises that the dog wants to jump or play? The thing that matters is if it wants the meal, it just has to jump and play. Desire and Fear are not sensible ways to live a life., Animals also live in the same
What is the difference between humans and animals?
It's mind.
What is the mind?
Its thoughts.
What are our thoughts?
It is thinking.
Now, what is he thinking?
To discriminate between what is good and bad for us, not just in the short term, but in the long term as well; this is called the intellect, and this is the actual meaning of human beings.
Animals don’t have this; they are driven only, and only by their survival stinks. It is the same as the story of a monkey and a juggler. When a juggler wants to capture a monkey, he places a narrow head jar filled with peanuts. The monkey immediately puts his hands in the jar and grabs a handful of peanuts. Since it was holding the peanuts in its hands, as a result, the monkey couldn’t take the hands out as the jar's neck was narrow, and the monkey didn't want to leave the nuts. Juggler came and captured the monkey. This is what is meant by getting stuck and getting tied up or getting bound in it, and this is our comfort zone.
When we can analyze our motivation, which is desire and fear like everyone else because of how badly we are going to be stuck in our life, change our route before getting stuck in it and avoid it.
Money is important in our life. Those people are fools who say this money is nothing. But if we have less money our sleep will be disturbed, and if we have more money, our room filled with money again we will not be able to sleep, money is important, just like fuel in a car, that's it. Money has a connection with our survival but not with our satisfaction nor with peaceful sleep. Now again, what is life's biggest motivation? Is there any other way to live our life instead of this desire and fear? Can the driving force in my life be something else? Which is different from others? And that is death; it is different from other people's thought processes. It is the biggest truth of our life, but still, we fear its name, even to think about it. Live every day like last day, Every night like last night, even if we don’t open our eyes tomorrow, it doesn't matter to us. we will complete our goals for the day fearlessly, and we will say this “everything is done ” and smile and focus on our breath, and we will have a satisfied and peaceful sleep. When our main goal in life will be, “To live a life like this, so when the day of death arrives there will be a smile on face and these words on lips I fully enjoyed my life ”. We will be able to give our 100% in everything in our goals, and we will not do those work that will make us slaves to someone else.
